In the previous press release, we reported on the European Airports Forum held on 4-6 December at the Austrian capital's airport, organised by ACI EUROPE and Vienna Airport. Representatives of the Airports of Ukraine Civil Aviation Association (AAUCA) were invited to this event.
The results of this meeting were not long in coming. Already on 31 March - 1 April 2025, a government delegation from the Republic of Austria arrived in Kyiv to support Ukraine in a difficult period. The delegation also included the heads of Vienna Airport:
Julian Jäger - Joint CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Vienna Airport
Christoph Schmidt - Managing Director/CFO of Vienna Airport.
Evgeniya Medvedeva - International Projects Manager, Vienna Airport
During this meeting, the AAUCA President and the CEO of Vienna Airport officially met. Director General of Vienna Airport officially signed a previously prepared Memorandum of Understanding, Cooperation and Support. This document opens a new page in cooperation aimed at restoring and developing Ukraine's aviation infrastructure.
During the talks, the parties discussed key issues of international partnership, exchange of experience in airport management, and prospects for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian airports.
In addition, the Austrian partners donated technical equipment to Ukrainian airports as part of their charitable support, which will help accelerate the restoration of infrastructure facilities and improve their efficiency.
We sincerely thank our reliable partners for their openness to dialogue, support and willingness to work together. Together we are building a new future for Ukrainian aviation!
