We have once again made sure that the entire aviation community of the world supports Ukraine.

The Association "Airports of Ukraine" of Civil Aviation (AAUCA) has been a full member of the Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe) since 2014, with more than 500 airports and their partners (airlines, equipment developers and manufacturers, analysts and designers, handling and fuel companies).

Last week, on June 22-24, Rome hosted the 32nd Congress and General Assembly of AСI Europe at Fiumicino Airport, where representatives of Ukraine, AСI Europe, members, namely AAUCA, Boryspil International Airport, Odesa International Airport and Kharkiv International Airport, were also invited.

It was important and instructive to listen to the report of AСI Europe representatives, aviation managers on the resumption of activities after the crisis related to the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors.

Opening the 32nd Annual Congress and the General Assembly of ACI Europe in Rome, Director General Olivier Jankovec described the ways out of European airports in the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and drew the participants' attention to the critical situation in Ukraine related to military aggression of Russia.

An article on Olivier's Jankovec speech can be read in the attached file.

The speeches of representatives of the Ukrainian delegation: Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, General Director of Boryspil International Airport, Vyacheslav Cheglatonev, Commercial Director of Odesa International Airport, and Petro Lypovenko, President of AAUCA, who described the current state of infrastructure facilities, including airports, attracted attention, sympathy sand support, and described the action plan of the leaders of the country and airlines to revive the activities after the victory over the Russian aggressor, who brought grief, destruction and pain to our country.

After that, almost all the following speakers in one way or another used the following words to describe the situation in Ukraine: russian military aggression, damage, destruction, sympathy, support, assistance. Also in his speech, the Director General of ACI Europe Olivier Jankovec provided information, that at the suggestion of AAUCA, were accepted to the members of  the Airports Council International Europe free of charge the following airports of Ukraine: Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport, Lviv International Airport, Chernivtsi International Airport, Zaporizhzhya International Airport, Dnipro International Airport, Mykolayiv International Airport and Ivano-Frankivsk International Airport. The listeners supported this news with long applause. There were also constructive behind-the-scenes conversations of members of the Ukrainian delegation with the leadership of ACI Europe and many participants of the event, during which we felt sincere sympathy for our tragedy and listened to proposals for assistance.

We, in turn, expressed our deep gratitude for understanding and supporting our struggle against the russian aggressor, hoping for a common victory in the near future.
