On November 15, 2019, at the premises of the State Aviation Service Association "Airports of Ukraine" held a meeting on improvement of normative legal acts (NPAs), normative regulation and implementation of the European legislation on environmental protection for the functioning of aviation enterprises.
The meeting was also attended by: representative of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection, ecologists of the operating airports of cities: Lviv, Kiev, Boryspil, Odessa, Kherson, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Nikolaev, Dnipro, Sumy, Belaya Tserkov.The meetings were opened by AUUCA President Petro Lipovenko, Head of the Department of Strategic Development of the State Aviation Service Volodymyr Katernyi, reports were presented by the Head of the Department of Development and Environmental Security of the Aviation Service Svetlana Marunich, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Education of NAU Alexander Zaporizh Center for Environmental Issues at Airports (NDCEPA).
During the event the issues of regulatory regulation, implementation of the best norms and practices of the European legislation on environmental protection, features of methodology for calculation and measurement of aviation noise levels, balanced approach of ISAO to regulation of noise impact at airports of Ukraine and other specialized directions were considered.Special attention was paid during the meeting to the NOMOS project (Noise monitoring system), the purpose of which is to publish information and raise public awareness of noise levels and contours around airports, and integrate information from Ukrainian airports into one resource.Following the meeting, the following decisions were made:1. The State Aviation Service, together with the specialists of the National Aviation University (NAU), prepares methodical explanations on the possibility of practical implementation of the APU "Requirements for the operation of the airport for spatial zoning of the area around the airport under the conditions of aviation noise impact" No. 381 dated 26.03.2019;2. In the first decade of December 2019, a meeting of experts from NAUA, representatives of the State Aviation Service units to determine environmental regulation of aircraft diversion and aerodrome cover in accordance with EU regulations will be held by the AAUCA.
